Smiles...

This week has been busy... crazy... tiring... stressful.. and absolutely amazing!!!

Okay, it's homecoming week, and we MADE it!!! I am the Junior class sponsor, and so I have been trying to juggle so many things this week. I have amazing people to work with as sponsors, and everytime I asked something, they found a way to help. It was great. What makes it even more amazing are the kids that I get to work with. It was stressful and frustrating at times, but in the end they stepped up to the challenge. My class officers did a great job, and finally some of the other leaders in the class stepped up to be the leaders they are. I am so proud of them!!! All that they did today and this week is amazing.

Now, this post is called smiles... I couldn't think of anything else. See, here I am sitting in my classroom, waiting for basketball practice for my 3rd & 4th grade team. And along comes a student and tells me "thank you" for all that I had done today. He could have walked on by, or just said hi, but he said thank you. So, how can I keep from smiling? Amazing. I work with a great group of kids. I love them all dearly!!! They worked together and got things done and it all looks incredible!!!

Did I mention that I was proud of them? Sometimes, I wish I could find more ways to say that. They really make my heart smile, and make me realize how blessed I am!

a song...

I frequently wake up singing a song, now sometimes this song makes sense - like I heard it the day before or a friend and I were singing it or laughing about it. And many times, I end up singing this song throughout the day.

Well last night, in my dream, we were singing. Why? I don't know, but I woke up singing this song. And it was different from just waking up with a song in your head, I completely remember the part of the dream where it was being sung. I just think it was cool, kind of odd, but cool. The song is one that I learned at camp in Ohio, and it was just a praise chorus, but I loved it.

Here are the words:

On mountains high,
I'll praise your name
In valleys low,
I'll do the same.
And as the river runs to find the ocean blue
So, my heart will always run to find you.

I like it!!!
