Still going...

I feel like I should be the energizer bunny and be able to keep going, yet I am exhausted. The first week of school has gone well, but it has been very tiring. I have gone home exhausted each night, but I know I'll make it but getting back in the swing of things has been hard.

Really, school has been going well. It is a blessing! We have been doing this contemplative reading as a faculty and it has been really good. We are reading through the book of Matthew and it has been really neat to have things pop out at you. I have read these verses several times, but who knew that the geneology of Jesus could be so interesting. It's been cool, hopefully I'll be able to write more about it later.

I have been missing people in Michigan a bit. I was so blessed by the time I was able to spend with my friends and family there. Since I was able to spend so much time with them, I know miss them a bunch. I miss the fun and the talks and especially the laughs. I am missing that kind of friendship right now. I have been trying to be involved with things but yet those friendships take time. I know that, but I miss that type of thing. I really appreciate my friends in MI, even if we don't talk or see each other often. They are important to me. Hopefully I will be a better friend to those people. This summer, I recognized how important those friendships are.

Well, I'm going to go be a teacher. Yep...it's late and I'm still here...

Hi ho, hi ho... it's off to school i go...

(Whistles...)

Okay, so I had to go back to school today. It was the first day of Inservice... Aren't I glad to be back?!??!!!! Well, I'm trying to... but I really enjoyed my summer and it seemed so short that I don't know if I am or not.

So, in the midst of all of this, I kept thinking of Hi ho, Hi ho it's off to work I go...do do do do do, do do do do (whistles)...

I really was pretty good, it was good to see people. It's made me think about things, not bad things, just things. I got lists of kids in my classes, i know only some (well, I probably know them, but can't put the face with the name yet). Some of which made me smile... I look forward to seeing some of them. I'm tryin to decide if I like how my room looks and where I want this small white board... too many decisions... I can't handle all of them at once. Okay, really I can...but i'm not sure that I want to. I'll get there.

Oh! And I got some fun Math toys. I know things that go with math don't sound fun... but these things really are! It makes me excited and happy! I can't wait to use them!!! Wahoo!

I attempted to make a website today. Really, I did make it, there wasn't really an attempt. And hopefully I will get to use it too! (it's all just silly, but that is okay)

Well, my thoughts are rather scattered...so I am not even sure that any of this makes sense. I had great plans for a thoughtful blog... but well... it just didn't happen! Have a blessed day!

See ya!

Dentist thoughts...

Okay, so I mentioned that I went to the dentist this morning. Really the thought of the dentist isn't always appealling, but I really don't mind (too much) having my teeth cleaned. It's kinda pleasant having very clean teeth. However, right now I am obsessed (for lack of a better word) with playing with the back of my teeth. I can't stop... it's now starting to bother me, but I can't stop. I know, it's wierd. It was a pretty good appointment, the people were really nice - actually I knew the girl that cleaned my teeth. Which is kinda wierd, only because I am self-conscience about my teeth, and having someone I know clean them... well so it goes. However, we had a nice time chatting, especially when we were waiting for the dentist, who is also very nice.

Now, I have 2 baby teeth still, the adult teeth are up there, but never wanted to come down. I was once told that I could have braces put on and they would pull down the other teeth. OUCH!!! I decided my baby teeth were fine...and they are, they don't really bother me, and it is just me. So...as I was talking to the dentist, he asked me if I wanted any thing down with them...and I mentioned the whole braces, 10 year thing (which is a no) and then he said that I could have vaneers (sp?) put on over my baby teeth and they would look just like my baby teeth. So, it has now made me start pondering it... He put on clay/waxy stuff today to show me kinda what it would look like, but I don't know, it was odd to see my smile look like that. So, now, I just don't know. Any opinions? I would like to hear them. So, there are all my dentist thoughts, or at least most of them...let me know your thoughts!

Nothing real exciting...

So, nothing real exciting has been going on lately. But, that is okay, I have been enjoying my time. Sadly I only have a few more days before I have to go back to school. So, I figured I might as week just spend some time relaxing. I also have been doing some cleaning, reading, watching movies, and to top it all off I had a dentist appointment this morning.

So, I just finished "Pride and Prejudice" yesterday. Honestly, I loved it! I had a lot of fun reading it. There is one quote from it that I really liked, i will have to add it later, because I don't have the book with me right now. This comment went with what Becky and I were talking about the other day. But I really enjoyed that book! Now, I am to some others...we'll see if any of them get finished.

I am still trying to unpack and put things away from my travels, however it just isn't very exciting, so I have been avoiding it a little. But other things have been cleaned...it's been good fun. I've also been cooking more than usual, and it has been quite enjoyable. I'm trying to be a bit more healthy, especially since I wasn't all summer.

Well, at one point I felt like I had something to write about, but now it just seems like babbling. I am trying to enjoy the last days of summer. I need to go up to school and get my room re-arranged, but I'm not quite ready to do any of that. But I'll get there... even if I don't want to.

See ya!
